The event traces its history back to 1966 when it began as the Florida Citrus Open Invitational. Tiger Woods, who lives in nearby Windermere, captured an unprecedented four consecutive Bay Hill championships from 2000 to 2003. Woods also won the Arnold Palmer Invitational in 2008 and 2009. Although Walt Disney World® Resort does not sponsor the event, Disney theme parks have been the main gathering spot for the Gay Days celebration since its inception in 1991, although the event has spread to other theme parks and venues throughout Orlando such as Universal Orlando® and SeaWorld® Orlando. 2010 Gay Days will draw approximately more than 125,000 gay and lesbian visitors from around the world. In addition to visits to the theme parks, a variety of special events and parties are scheduled during Gay Days.

2) 2012 Sounds Like Summer Concert Series

Timeless tunes performed by tribute bands have guests groovin' at Epcot America Gardens Theatre during the return of the Sounds Like Summer concert series for 2012!

The "Sounds Like Summer" concert series starts at Epcot in early June 2012 (dates to be announced). Each evening through July 31 at 5:45 PM, 7 PM and 8:15 PM, "Sounds Like Summer" bands will take the stage at the theme park's America Gardens Theatre in World Showcase.

8) 2011 Holidays Around the World at Epcot

9) 2011 ICE! at Gaylord Palms Resort


Prepare for the coolest winter on record in Central Florida as Gaylord Palms Resort hosts ICE!, which features beautiful holiday scenes hand carved from nearly 2 million pounds of ice! A fun-filled experience for the entire family, ICE! takes place from November 16, 2011, through January 2, 2012.

Note: ICE! is kept at a frigid 9 degrees, so be sure to dress appropriately (closed toe shoes and long pants are required). Hooded parkas are provided for ICE! guests. ICE! has been named "Best Cultural Show/Event" by the Orlando Sentinel.

As the holidays near and decorations are put on display, join Santa as he makes a quick trip into Kissimmee from the North Pole at the third-annual Santa Social!
